Ulland Brothers Scholarship Fund

Ulland Brothers Scholarship Fund

The Ulland Brothers Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to the children or grandchildren of employees of Ulland Brothers Inc. for post-secondary education.

Oscar and Palmer Ulland began their wood-cutting business back in 1920 with little more than a
hand saw, an old Ford truck and a simple philosophy – always keep your word to your customer,
always do your best work, and success will follow. Since the company was founded, officially in
1922, it has grown from a two-man wood-cutting partnership to one of Minnesota’s largest
excavating and paving contractors. While Ulland Brothers is always finding new and better ways to solve old problems, it never loses sight of the simple philosophy that built its business: its work is a reflection of the company and its employees. In commemoration of the company’s centennial, Ulland Brothers establishes this scholarship fund to thank its founders and dedicated employees who have made the company successful.

Understanding that higher education is important to the well-being of individuals and to society as a whole, the purpose of the Ulland Brothers Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance to the children of Ulland Brothers employees for post-secondary education; including colleges, universities and vocational schools. The student’s financial need is of prime concern in the awarding of the scholarship.
