Grants

Thousands took part in FinnFest 2008 which was supported by grants from the Anishinabe Fund, Wirtanen Family Fund and the Unrestricted Endowment of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. "Sharing the Spirit of Finland" focused on the women, culture, music and Finnish-Ojibwe integration in our region and included a visit from the president of Finland.

For more than 25 years, the Duluth Superior Are Community Foundation has worked with individuals, families, private foundation, and companies to provide thousands of grants totaling millions of dollars for nonprofits to enhance the quality of life in this region.

To date, the Community Foundation has more than 290 active funds, many of which are directed towards nonprofit organizations. Organizations interested seeking support from the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation for charitable efforts should first read more about who and what we fund. If you are eligible, we ask that you then fill out a grant inquiry so we can work with you to apply for the grant that best fits your organization’s needs.
